Ashir has a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography from University of Hertfordshire. After qualifying, Ashir worked at a major NHS trust for 18 years and gained numerous clinical and managerial positions. He continued his studies with an image interpretation training program and completed his PG Diploma in Radiographic Appendicular Reporting at University of Hertfordshire. After 18 years in the NHS Ashir took some time to travel, before working as a locum radiographer at Royal Berkshire NHS Trust and throughout London hospitals and private clinics. Having seen the demand in cross sectional imaging and the lack of competition in the private sector, he pursed his goal to setting up a new business using the modality of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). Ashir is accredited with the Health and Care Professions Council. He extended his qualification to PgCert Imaging Interpretation Appendicular Reporting, supporting his role as Clinical Director and a radiographer at 3Beam.
